Overview
Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Custodian on the Second shift, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our environment clean, safe, and welcoming. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using various custodial tools including floor buffers and cleaning agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Conduct manual handling of heavy items such as furniture, equipment, and supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Provide facilities maintenance support by addressing minor repairs, replacing light bulbs, and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
- Assist with portering duties by moving materials, supplies, or equipment across different areas efficiently.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent and FBI/BCI background check
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling with a focus on safety and proper disposal methods.
- Experience operating floor buffers and performing floor care including buffing, stripping, and sealing surfaces.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and general upkeep.
- Prior porter experience or similar roles involving movement of materials within large facilities is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards across diverse environments.

Pay: $19.64 - $23.16 per hour
