Position Overview
We are looking for a flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented Multi-Location Line Cook to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will float between Dollop Diner, Dollop NEMA, and Dollop Montrose, supporting daily line execution, food preparation, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations & Cooking
- Execute Menu Items: Prepare and execute station setup, short-order cooking, and prep for breakfast, brunch, and café menu items to exact recipe standards.
- Multi-Station Prep: Handle prep, line assembly, griddle/fryer work, and plating with speed and accuracy.
- Quality & Presentation: Ensure every dish served meets Dollop’s high standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
Multi-Location Flexibility
- Adaptability: Seamlessly shift between Dollop Diner, NEMA, and Montrose based on weekly scheduling needs, mastering station setups at each location.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with kitchen managers and front-of-house teams across all three venues to maintain smooth shift transitions.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Sanitation Standards: Keep stations clean, organized, and compliant with all City of Chicago Health Department regulations.
- Inventory & FIFO: Label, date, and properly rotate all food items utilizing standard FIFO (First In, First Out) methods.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly operate, clean, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–2+ years of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or short-order cook in a high-volume restaurant or café setting.
- Mobility: Reliable transportation to travel between the South Loop (NEMA) and North Side (Diner & Montrose) locations as scheduled.
- Certifications: Active City of Chicago Food Handler or ServSafe Manager certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in high-heat environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Skill Set: Strong knife skills, solid understanding of food safety, and excellent time management skills under pressure.
