Apex Vets is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our Emergency & Critical Care team.
This role is best suited for a doctor who is comfortable managing emergency cases independently, values teamwork, and is looking for a well-equipped hospital environment with strong clinical support.
What We’re Looking For
Prior experience in emergency medicine required
Team-first mentality
Ability to manage a wide range of ER cases from triage through discharge or hospitalization
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Clear and effective communication with clients and team members
Willingness to participate in a shared weekend rotation
What You’ll Do
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment plans
Manage hospitalized and outpatient emergency cases
Perform emergency procedures (e.g., centeses, CPR, wound repair)
Interpret diagnostics including bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasound (AFAST/TFAST)
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians

Qualifications
DVM/VMD from an accredited institution
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maryland
Emergency experience required
