Decommissioning Technician – TEL Cellesta+ & Screen Equipment
The Decommissioning Technician supports the controlled shutdown, removal, and preparation of TEL Cellesta+ and Screen equipment. The technician ensures all work follows company safety standards, documentation requirements, and operational procedures while minimizing disruption to production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely shut down, isolate, decontaminate and decommission semiconductor wet etch equipment, including TEL Cellesta+ and Screen systems.
- Purge gas lines, flush systems, drain residual liquids and safely handle contaminated components and waste.
- Follow all H&S requirements, including risk assessments, permits, LOTO, site controls and correct PPE/BAPA use.
- Identify, tag, label, inventory and document equipment and components to maintain traceability and audit compliance.
- Harvest reusable parts and prepare equipment for safe removal, transport, recycling, or disposal.
- Complete daily pre-task planning and coordinate with customer, engineering, operations and site teams to minimise disruption.
- Maintain full compliance with company, environmental and site safety requirements, contributing to a strong safety culture.
- Tool ID / Model Mapping — Correctly identify and map equipment models during decommissioning:
- TEL Cellesta+
- TEL PR300z
- Screen SU3800, Screen SU3200
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Independent Work — Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy.
- Technical Handling — Skilled in handling sensitive semiconductor equipment.
- Documentation Precision — Strong attention to detail in labeling, recording, and tracking assets.
- Safety Compliance — Commitment to following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Communication — Clear communication with operations, leadership, and cross‑functional teams.
Physical Requirements
- Duties performed in confined cleanroom areas, sometimes in awkward positions or elevated locations.
- Requires mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
- May involve bending, stooping, crawling, or climbing.
- Use of PPE and adherence to industry safety procedures when working around:
- Chemicals
- Electric currents / high voltage
- Moving mechanical parts
- Radiation
- Job is based in Arizona--occasional travel to other sites maybe asked.
