$19.98 - $29.29 per hour; based on the IISPA Master Agreement

About The Role

Assists teachers in Center Based ASD classrooms at AEC for the autistic impaired by performing a variety of duties designed to carry out individual student education and positive behavioral support programs for students that may have physically aggressive behaviors.

Provide physical support to students with varying strength and emotional behaviors.
Implements program-wide and individual student behavior intervention programs, including monitoring behavior data collection, preparing incident reports, physical intervention and reward system under the direction of classroom teachers.
Ability to take feedback from others and to follow a behavior plan directly as written.
Supervises and monitors students within classroom activities as well as non-structured settings (i.e. arrival, departure, lunch, field trips and recess).

Qualifications Desired

High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to interact with professionals and health care aides in providing a positive educational experience for children.
Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred.
Ability to push and pull heavy objects, repeatedly kneel, bend, twist or stand for long periods of time and other physical requirements when necessary. Physical ability to safely lift students as needed: 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Required to work a balanced calendar schedule.
