Position Purpose: Responsible for transporting trusses and other building materials to construction sites while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

· Load and deliver trusses and other building materials to job sites via commercial truck with a CDL
· Load and unload freight, securing cargo for safe transit
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations
· Operate delivery vehicles and unloading equipment, such as forklifts
· Follow driving standards and comply with state, federal, and company regulations
· Maintain professional relationships with customers and obtain signatures and receipts
· Adhere to delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency
· Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details
· Communicate with dispatch to report any issues or delays
· Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when operating equipment; including but not limited to wearing required PPE
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
· Previous experience in CDL driving and delivering oversized loads is preferred.
· Familiarity with manual transmission and flat beds.
· Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
· Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs, loading and unloading freight efficiently.
· Proficiency in operating unloading equipment.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
· Perform the position’s physical functions with extensive mobility and ease, including walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing and using hands to operate tools necessary for the job.
· The ability to frequently lift or move up to 25lbs and occasionally lift or move up to 60lbs.
· Work involves driving and delivering to various construction sites.
· Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
· Regular and predictable attendance, including ability to work overtime, is an essential function of this position.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
