Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The Litigation Attorney is responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury matters from initial case evaluation through resolution, providing zealous advocacy for clients and strategic oversight of all litigation activities. This position demands strong legal acumen, courtroom readiness, and the ability to effectively manage and mentor supporting staff throughout the full litigation lifecycle. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about litigation law, ready to navigate complex legal challenges with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
● Evaluate new PI cases for merit, liability exposure, and damages potential during intake and case review.
● Develop and implement case strategy for bodily injury claims including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, and catastrophic injury matters.
● Draft and file all court pleadings, motions, and briefs, including motions for summary judgment and motions in limine.
● Conduct and defend depositions of clients, treating physicians, expert witnesses, and opposing parties.
● Propound and respond to written discovery including Bills of Particulars, interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
● Retain, prepare, and manage expert witnesses including medical experts, accident reconstructionists, and economic loss specialists.
● Lead negotiations with insurance defense counsel and adjusters toward favorable settlements.
● Represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and jury trials.
● Advise clients on legal strategy, case valuation, settlement offers, and litigation risks.
● Supervise and mentor paralegals and legal assistants assigned to their cases.
● Ensure compliance with all applicable ethical rules, court rules, and firm policies.
● Maintain accurate time records and case notes in the firm's case management system.
Qualifications
● Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
● Active bar admission in the applicable state.
● 2+ years of PI plaintiff-side litigation experience strongly preferred.
● Demonstrated trial experience and comfort in the courtroom.
● Strong negotiation, analytical, and written/oral advocacy skills.

Pay: $93,345.74 - $178,416.38 per year
