Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineering Specialist to join our team!
The Quality Engineering Specialist will be responsible for quality activities at a Corporate level for all site locations and collaborating with various departments to ensure best practices are maintained. This role will be on a Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm schedule with frequent travel to both US based sites and international sites.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage all phases of MPE audit programs
- Ensure company processes are compliant to applicable Customer requirements, policies, and standards
- Coordinate audits from development to execution with effectiveness at the core of the work
- Issue corrective action resulting from audits as needed
- Follow up with various departments after issues are addressed for implementation
- Assist in problem solving activities to determine root cause and implement actions
- Report to management on audit results
- Create and revise corporate and MPE policies and procedures for standardization of processes
- Foster regular contact with sites for training compliance
- Train employees on process requirements and regulations when needed
- Maintain document management system
- Update internal management systems based on customer specific requirements as needed
- Review and submit KPIs
- Report on KPI activity for monthly presentations
- Support plants when requested
- Provide Continuous Improvement suggestions based on analytical findings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates or Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Quality role specializing in Maximum Permissible Error required
- Strong understanding of quality requirements as related to the production process required
- Experience in automotive manufacturing strongly preferred
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and graphs
- Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Organized and high attention to detail
Pay: From $58,000.00 per year
