Duties
- Collaborate with lead teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori and literacy education.
- Support classroom management by guiding children’s behavior through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate discipline strategies.
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
- Provide individualized attention to children, including toddlers and preschoolers, supporting their developmental milestones in areas like math, physical education, and child welfare.
- Help with daily childcare routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure comfort and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and classroom activities to foster a collaborative educational experience.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and a supportive learning environment.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education.
- Previous roles involving special education are advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community partners dedicated to child welfare.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
