American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a non-invasive cardiovascular unit, requiring ARDMS or CCI certification and a minimum of 3 years of echocardiography experience.

Non-invasive cardiovascular unit in an acute care hospital setting
-
Adult patient population with focus on cardiac ultrasound imaging and stress testing

Procedures include 2D echocardiograms, M-Mode, color flow and spectral Doppler studies, contrast echocardiography, TEE assistance, and dobutamine/exercise stress echocardiograms

Holter monitoring and event monitoring are also part of the role

Epic EMR experience required

5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, with start times ranging from 6:45 AM to 7:30 AM

Weekday on-call rotation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Holiday rotation required

May float to affiliated hospital campuses within the health system

Minimum of 3 years of echocardiography experience

Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required

ARDMS or CCI certification in Echocardiography required

BLS (AHA) required
-
Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency with ultrasound equipment controls, transducer selection, and digital archive systems

Ability to recognize imaging artifacts, cardiac abnormalities, and lethal arrhythmias
-
Knowledge of gross and sectional anatomy
-
Proficiency in pediatric echocardiography
-
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

License required if applicable

Perform high-quality 2D ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, including Doppler assessments of valvular insufficiency, stenosis, regurgitation, shunts, and ventricular function

Assist cardiologists with TEEs and provide real-time communication of findings and responses to clinical questions
-
Correlate patient clinical history with exam findings and consult with cardiologists as needed

Recognize congenital heart malformations, acquired pathologies, and post-surgical outcomes
-
Participate in mobile echo/vascular service and regional outreach
-
Complete quarterly competencies in stress lab, Holter monitoring, and event monitoring

Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system

RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
