Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our team in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be proficient in utilizing various construction management software. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, as you will be responsible for supervising teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera P6 for effective project scheduling and tracking.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project plans.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety compliance (OSHA regulations).
- Oversee budgeting processes, including construction estimating and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Implement effective communication strategies within the team to promote collaboration and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, including any changes or adjustments needed throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of project scheduling and budgeting.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Primavera is highly desirable.
- Previous experience on construction sites with knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret technical documents related to construction projects.
- Experience in quality control processes, ensuring that all work meets established standards before completion.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction practices is a plus, along with proficiency in using tools such as an ohmmeter for quality assurance checks.
