We are seeking a CNC Machinist who thrives in a short-run production environment and takes pride in balancing speed with quality.
Key Accountabilities
- Set up and run multiple mid-size CNC machines simultaneously, handling low-production runs with efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform multiple setups throughout the day, adjusting tooling, fixtures, and offsets as needed.
- Make minor program edits to improve efficiency or address machining issues.
- Monitor part quality using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges in real time, collaborating with the Lead Machinist and Quality Team when necessary.
- Keep production flowing smoothly while maintaining high standards.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and step in wherever needed to meet deadlines.
Competencies
- Experience running and setting up multiple CNC machines in a production environment.
- Comfortable with low-quantity runs requiring frequent setup changes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Skilled in precision measuring equipment to verify part quality.
- Basic CNC programming knowledge with the ability to make minor edits.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to take initiative.
- Interest or experience in robotics and mechatronics is highly desirable, reflecting a modern approach to machining and automation.
- Proficiency with Mastercam, with the ability to make edits and a desire to continue developing this skill.
- A drive to continuously learn and apply new knowledge in machining and manufacturing practices.
