Brookhaven Treatment & Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative **Classroom Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team.Brookhaven is a Vermont-approved independent therapeutic school serving students in grades 410 whose emotional, behavioral, and learning needs require a highly individualized educational environment. Our students thrive through small class sizes, trauma-informed practices, relationship-based teaching, and close collaboration among educational, clinical, and residential staff.Responsibilities* Provide engaging, individualized instruction aligned with Vermont standards and student goals.* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.* Create a structured, positive, and trauma-informed classroom environment.* Monitor student progress and maintain educational documentation.* Collaborate with clinicians, residential staff, families, and sending school districts.* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development.Qualifications* Vermont educator licensure (or eligibility) appropriate for the position.* Experience working with students with social-emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges preferred.* Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and positive behavior supports.* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.Salary & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on education, licensure, and experience.
