Overview
Brock’s Academy is a Designer Education® program in which our educators travel to the student. They work in homes, in schools, or at our learning center located in University Place, WA. We provide premium one-on-one tutoring and private school instruction to children and young adults who are having a difficult time in traditional school settings. Our programs are custom designed to match each student’s learning style, interests, and academic needs.
We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic tutors who love to teach and mentor students. An ideal candidate would have both tutoring and special education experience, be friendly, patient, willing to travel to the client, and comfortable working with all aged students. This individual must also be capable of working independently, be thorough in documentation and have transportation.
At Brock’s, we seek out educators who have a passion for teaching outside of the box. Our teachers are creative, flexible, and willing to follow the interests of their students. They make learning engaging and fun. Relationship building is key.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Qualifications : Maintaining complete and accurate data and keeping records of sessions.
- Education: 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred. A background in special education, psychology, Behavior Technician or social work is preferred. A teaching certification is not required for this position.
- Skills: Ability to provide unique and individualized support and instruction based on the student’s learning needs. Ability to teach ASL a plus. Experience with elementary and middle aged students.
- Misc: Reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour based on experience, qualifications, and location. This can vary based on factors such as experience, location, and the specific responsibilities of the role.
