Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
- Operate commercial cleaning tools such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and scrubbers to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, waste disposal, and ensuring proper storage of cleaning supplies
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as replenishing supplies, trash removal, and minor facilities maintenance tasks
- Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects including floor care, buffing, and detailed sanitation efforts
Skills
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently with attention to heavy lifting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical agents, heavy equipment operation, and general workplace safety standards
