Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the maintenance operations of the facility, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. This supervisory role requires a proactive approach to facilities management, project management, and team coordination.
Duties
- Supervise and manage the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
- Planning and supervising repairs and renovations to the physical property while ensuring safety and appropriately utilizing employees and/or vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Oversee the tracking of work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff on best practices in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Analyze schematics and technical drawings to guide repair work and ensure proper installation of equipment.
Experience
- A successful candidate will possess at least 2 years of supervisory experience in building operations, with experience in a senior healthcare setting such as skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospice; regional or multi-site management required.
- Experience in healthcare (SNF) is required.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.
- A working knowledge of Federal and Florida regulations, building codes, and in particular the NFPA Life Safety Code is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical systems.
