Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication skills. Experience in school bus driving or shuttle driving is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition through regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Communicate effectively with parents and students regarding schedules, routes, and any changes in plans.
- Utilize an attendance app while operating the vehicle
Routes
A 13 passenger van starting at Assumption Catholic School (2403 Atlantic Blvd.) at 6:15 a.m. stopping at St. Matthew's Catholic Church (1773 Blanding Blvd.) and Sacred Heart Church (5752 Blanding Blvd.) before arriving at Bishop Snyder High School (5001 Samaritan Way, Jacksonville, FL 32210) by 7:30 a.m. Then, in the afternoon, everyday but Wednesdays, the bus leaves at 3:15 (2:15 on Wednesdays) to drive the morning route in reverse arriving at Assumption Catholic school around 4:15 p.m. The route requires about 12-15 hours per week of your time.
