Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Licensed or Certified Appraiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting accurate and comprehensive property valuations, specializing in real estate appraisal and financial analysis. Your expertise will support a variety of projects, including affordable housing developments, tax assessments, and financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed real estate appraisals by collecting and analyzing property data, including physical inspections, market trends, and comparable sales
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports that clearly communicate valuation results and supporting analyses
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to enhance spatial analysis and property research
- Apply knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and tax experience to evaluate properties within specific regulatory frameworks
- Conduct quantitative research to assess property values in relation to construction costs, market conditions, and financial concepts
- Ensure all appraisals adhere to Fair Housing regulations and other applicable legal standards
- Collaborate with teams on construction projects, providing insights into valuation impacts and feasibility studies
Requirements
- Valid license or certification as a professional appraiser with relevant state or national accreditation
- Strong background in real estate appraisal, including experience with financial analysis and data collection techniques
- Proficiency in financial software tools used for valuation modeling and report writing
- Knowledge of construction processes, building materials, and cost estimation methods
- Familiarity with GIS technology for spatial data analysis and mapping purposes
- Understanding of LIHTC programs, tax regulations, and fair housing laws
- Excellent math skills complemented by the ability to interpret complex financial concepts accurately
