TIG Welder / Pipefitter – Advanced Manufacturing (Phoenix, AZ)
We are currently seeking experienced, motivated, and safety-focused TIG Welders/Pipefitters for a long-term opportunity supporting one of the nation's largest semiconductor manufacturing projects in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
This position is being recruited on behalf of a major subcontractor performing work at an advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility.
Semiconductor, high-purity process piping, or advanced manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality GTAW (TIG) welding on process piping systems.
- Perform pipe fitting, layout, material preparation, and installation.
- Assist with material handling, equipment staging, and other project-related tasks as required.
- Opportunities for orbital welding may be available based on project needs and candidate qualifications.
- Maintain the highest standards of workmanship, quality, and safety in a clean, fast-paced industrial environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous TIG welding experience on industrial piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and isometric sketches is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Climb ladders and stairs.
- Work in confined spaces and elevated work areas when required.
- Perform the physical demands typical of industrial construction and advanced manufacturing projects.
Project Requirements
As this position supports work at a seminconductor fab, successful candidates may be required to complete project-specific hiring requirements prior to beginning work. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Background screening
- Drug screening
- Craft or gate testing
- Site-specific safety orientation
- Other owner or contractor pre-qualification requirements
