Job Summary

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum activities that promote child development and learning.
- Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, free play, meals, and transitions.
- Provide attentive child supervision to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Help with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and hygiene practices following health and safety guidelines.
- Engage children with age-appropriate educational activities that encourage exploration and socialization.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs.
- Support classroom organization by preparing materials, tidying spaces, and assisting with lesson setup.
Skills
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly preferred.
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and protection.
- Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus.
- Child supervision skills combined with patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing attitude.
