Job Overview
Ability Homecare hiring caring, reliable and experienced Home Health Aide (HHA) special to provide 3.00 hours of care, Monday to Friday, 15.00 hours a week.
Client will need assistance with their personal care (hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.).
Location: Orlando
Schedule: 5 am in the morning until 8 am in the morning on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Job Classification: Employee
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour to $16.00/hour
Pay Period: Bi-weekly
Minimum Requirements
- Pass background screening.
- At least one year experience caring for individuals with a development disability such as autism.
- HHA certificate.
- Current CPR certificate.
- HIV/AIDS certificate.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patients' conditions, documenting care using electronic visit verification.
- Provide moral support, fostering a respectful and trusting environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and home healthcare standards.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning tub after use, making bed, and meal preparation (breakfast) to promote a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Use patient transfer methods safely, including Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices, ensuring client safety during transfers.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain compliance with home health care regulations at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism.
