POSITION SUMMARY:
The EDI Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and supporting the daily Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations between the company and its customers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
This position works closely with internal departments and external business partners to ensure EDI documents are processed accurately and on time.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily EDI Support:
● Monitor daily EDI transaction processing.
● Identify and resolve routine EDI transaction failures.
● Investigate rejected or failed documents and coordinate resolution.
● Escalate complex issues to senior EDI or IT personnel.
● Monitor inbound and outbound document queues.
Trading Partner Support:
● Assist with onboarding new customers and vendors.
● Support testing activities with trading partners.
● Update trading partner profiles and contact information.
● Maintain customer implementation documentation.
EDI Operations:
● Support processing of standard EDI documents including:
○ 850/875 Purchase Orders
○ 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgements
○ 856 Advance Ship Notices (ASNs)
○ 810/870 Invoices
○ 846 Inventory Advice
○ 997/999 Functional Acknowledgements
● Verify data accuracy between EDI transactions and the ERP system.
● Assist in resolving customer EDI inquiries.
Migration and Implementation Support:
● Assist with migrating trading partners from DiCentral to TrueCommerce Foundry.
● Coordinate customer communications and implementation schedules.
● Help execute testing and validate successful document transmission.
● Document implementation results and update migration tracking logs.
Documentation:
● Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
● Document common issues and resolutions.
● Update internal process documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience with Microsoft Excel.
● Basic understanding of ERP systems.
● Basic understanding of supply chain or order processing.
● Experience working with customers and/or vendors.
● Familiarity with EDI concepts is a plus but not required.
● Experience with NetSuite, Shopify, or warehouse operations is a plus.
