Join us on August 6, 7 ,8 & 9 at Saigon Asian Night Market food festival at King Jack Park in Webb City MO. We are hiring Food Festival Cashier and become a key player in delivering an unforgettable experience for attendees! This energetic role combines customer service excellence with efficient cash handling, ensuring smooth transactions at various food stalls and vendor booths. As a cashier, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes guests, manages sales, and maintains a lively, organized environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a fun, safe, and seamless festival atmosphere for everyone involved.
Duties
- Greet festival attendees warmly and assist them with purchasing food and beverage items using POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Process cash, card, and mobile payments accurately while providing clear receipts and change when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at cash stations to ensure efficient service throughout the event
- Enforce safety protocols during transactions, including proper manual handling of cash and food items
- Collaborate with team members to manage queues, resolve conflicts quickly, and enhance guest satisfaction
- Support event staff in managing crowd flow and addressing guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism
- Assist with setup and takedown of cash stations, including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment as required
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or food service environments with strong cash handling skills
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Experience working outdoors or in outdoor event settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for public speaking and guest interaction
- Familiarity with safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and manual handling procedures
- Previous experience in event management or venue operations is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and work flexible hours during festival days
- Experience working with children or in hospitality environments enhances guest engagement skills
