Grounds for Hounds Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our Willow Park team.

Please Note
This position requires previous hands-on Veterinary Technician experience. Applicants whose experience is limited to veterinary assisting, reception, kennel, or other support roles may be better suited for one of our future openings.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Required every other Saturday
Compensation
$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Assist veterinarians during appointments and treatments
- Safely restrain canine and feline patients using low-stress handling techniques
- Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare reference lab samples
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
- Educate clients on medications, vaccines, parasite prevention, and at-home care
- Assist with radiology, patient nursing, and hospitalized patient care
- Prepare patients and equipment for surgery
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical and dental procedures (preferred experience)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
- Cross-train to assist with reception and technician assistant duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous hands-on Veterinary Technician experience required
- Comfortable with safe canine and feline restraint
- Proficient in venipuncture and blood collection
- Working knowledge of veterinary pharmacology
- Working knowledge of canine and feline vaccine protocols
- Familiarity with heartworm, flea/tick, and intestinal parasite prevention
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
- Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience preferred, but not required
- Must be available to work every other Saturday
