Job Description: PM Line Cook – Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas
Overview
Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas is seeking an experienced and motivated PM Line Cook to join our evening culinary team. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and takes pride in executing high-quality dishes that reflect our coastal-inspired menu. This position is for evening shifts only, ideal for those who bring energy and focus to the dinner rush and late-night service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to Union’s recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency during high-volume dinner service.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation procedures, keeping your station clean and organized.
- Assist with evening prep, closing duties, and kitchen breakdown at the end of service.
- Support special events and private dinners as needed.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Line Cook in a busy restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, timing, and plating.
- Solid knife skills and a strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to stay calm and organized during high-pressure service periods.
- Passion for great food, teamwork, and providing guests with an exceptional dining experience.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
