A prestigious client is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join their thriving NYC office! The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-6 years of immigration law experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of immigration processes, regulations, and documentation. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 remote days per week, and no vaccination requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing a variety of immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485, and naturalization applications.
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and case precedents to support case strategies and ensure compliance.
- Gather and review client information, supporting documentation, and evidence to ensure accuracy and completeness of immigration filings.
- Prepare and maintain case files, ensuring all relevant documents and correspondence are organized and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and third parties to obtain necessary information, respond to inquiries, and provide case updates.
- Assist with client intake, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the case management system.
- Monitor and stay updated on changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Collaborate with attorneys and team members to develop case strategies and provide support in preparing clients for interviews and hearings.
- Handle administrative tasks such as drafting correspondence, billing, and maintaining client confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience working as an immigration paralegal, with a strong understanding of immigration law and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and filings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict client confidentiality.
Compensation:
$80k - $90k
Work Structure:
Monday through Friday consisting of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
