Why does the job exist?
The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) Program Manager will:
Oversee and manage the responsibilities mandated per statute to implement a supportive program to infants and families living with substance use;
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) Navigation Program and the collaboration necessary between sister agencies within the state.
How does it get done?
The CARA Program Manager is responsible for:
Participating in the establishment and maintenance of procedures;
Providing oversight to program management supervisory personnel;
Dealing with challenges requiring the search for solutions typically found through experience or research into solutions to similar problems;
Determining financial, employment, and related resources needed to carry out assigned objectives.

Sister agencies within the state.
Health Care Authority (HCA);
Medical Assistance Division (MAD).

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Must obtain a Defensive driving certification.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer usage in facilitating or participating in virtual meetings, phone usage and extended periods of sitting.
