GENERAL JOB FUNCTION
Operate Press Machine and produce wheat flour products within specifications as required on the daily schedule.
Days: Sunday-Friday
Hours: Relief for all 3 shifts: 6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm, and 10 pm to 6 am

SUMMARY OF JOB
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Responsible for producing flour tortillas within the specified quality requirements.
- Startup equipment, turn ovens on, set computer panel for maseca flow.
- Spray silicon on slabs –oven.
- Turn on water with maseca and acid.
- Check cutting wires and plastic rings.
- Monitor baking process and tortilla appearance at all times.
- Be prepared to make product changes as needed. Lead Person will inform operator of changes.
- Perform changeovers from White Maseca to Yellow Maseca shutting down the silo and starting up the dump station system (PIAB).
- Dump maseca in bags when using dump station system (PIAB).
- Repair / replace cutting wires as needed (repair / replace time 10-15 minutes).
- Reprocess no-conformance product acceptable for reprocess.
- Follow production schedule as indicated by Lead or Supervisor.
- End of Shift-disconnect machinery, store tools, silicon is stored in Supervisor’s office, shut down gas in ovens.
- Complete all production reports / forms.
- Empties Kemin barrels as needed.
- Maintain the work area clean.
- Comply with all Food Safety, Legality GMP’s Policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Education Level and Experience
- Must know how to write, read, add and subtract.
- No experience required
- Be able to stand at all times, bend, lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Experience in a similar position, in a food manufacturing facility preferred.
