Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team at our HYDE PARK location. The BHT provides essential support to patients during detoxification and residential treatment, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
- Be sure that patient assignments and responsibilities are understood and in progress

Documentation of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.

Document the patient’s progress accurately as it relates to treatment goals and objectives

Assist patients in gaining group process skills

Address problem behaviors

Create atmosphere in which self-disclosure is facilitated

Conduct educational groups (lectures/videos/discussions) effectively

Adhere to time schedules

Assist patients gain insight into problems

Give patient a clear picture of where she stands with regard to progress toward recovery as seen by the therapist and the multidisciplinary treatment team

Enforce program rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner

Confront counter-productive behavior appropriately

Communicate effectively with patients and elicit respect

Adapt to different types of patients

Identify patient strengths and weaknesses

Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential documentation and clinical records.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelors preferred in psychology or human services

At least 1 year of experience in a related field.

Current CPR certification (must be maintained).

Valid Florida driver’s license with “E” endorsement and no violations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
