Responsibilities
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper fit and installation.
- Install various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, tiles, and flat roof membranes following blueprints and schematics.
- Perform roof repairs by replacing damaged shingles, tiles, or sections to restore integrity and prevent leaks.
- Prepare roofs by removing old materials, cleaning surfaces, and applying necessary underlayment or insulation layers.
- Use scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses to work safely at heights on different types of structures.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications for roofing projects.
- Conduct inspections on completed roofs to ensure quality standards are met and perform restoration or maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing or construction site work with a strong understanding of roofing techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, utility knives, as well as power tools like drills and nail guns.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights using appropriate safety equipment.
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, or tile laying is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.60 per hour
