In this role, you’ll dive into assembling, maintaining, and repairing commercial trucks, trailers, RVs, and equipment, delivering top-notch results in a fast-paced environment. You’ll ensure the functionality and reliability of engines and mechanical systems, keeping our fleet running at peak performance. What You’ll Do:
- Build and assemble mechanical components with precision.
- Inspect trucks, trailers, engines, and transmissions, running diagnostics to pinpoint issues.
- Deliver reliable repairs that meet industry-standard time guides.
- Perform thorough maintenance, lubrication, and fluid replenishment.
- Share maintenance tips with vehicle users like a true pro.
- Keep detailed logs and communicate repairs clearly to our service writers.
- Crush performance goals—both for yourself and the shop.
- Master diagnostics and repairs for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Work a steady 5-day schedule, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Flex your basic lube and tech skills (think oil changes and more).
- Take on hydraulic repairs and other tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
- A solid toolbox and a knack for recommending services.
- Cool-headedness under pressure and a problem-solving mindset.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- A commitment to safety and stellar communication skills.
- Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the job.
- A high school diploma (preferred), plus vocational training or an apprenticeship (a big plus!).
- Bonus points for a State Inspection license or ASE certification.
