At this company you’ll work closely with a small team in a dynamic production environment to deliver cutting edge tools to metals manufacturers in demanding industries such as aerospace, biomedical, and nuclear. We’re looking for someone to join and lead our production team. The ideal applicant will be excited to take ownership over production and drive improvements to product quality, production processes, and shipment timelines. They will work closely with sales and engineering while leading managing the production team to deliver projects on time.
Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain co-current detailed project schedules with input from engineering and logistics; track milestones and communicate status to management and customers
- Own production scheduling and workload distribution across concurrent projects
- Maintain and enforce adherence to quality management processes and documentation requirements
- Work with engineers and logistics to identify and manage production risks by understanding component lead times, sourcing alternatives, and flagging potential impacts to project schedules early.
- Coordinate with external machining vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of outsourced components.
- Look to continuously improve production processes with measurable quality and efficiency outcomes.
- Maintain working familiarity with our products and technical requirements to effectively direct production work.
- Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and other operational functions as needed

- Excellent leadership skills that drives small technical teams in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Use of software to track and analyze project times to be able to accurately project future deadlines.
- Understanding of supply chain dynamics, component lead times, and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and a commitment to process discipline.
- Ability to learn and understand technical product requirements (experience with electronics, instrumentation, or custom capital equipment a plus).
- Excellent customer communication skills in reporting status accurately to both internal management and external customers.
