Overview
Wiens Cellars LLC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial and Maintenance Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, attractive, and fully operational winery environment. This position supports daily facility upkeep, minor repairs, sanitation, event preparation, waste management, and general maintenance across tasting rooms, production areas, restrooms, outdoor spaces, and other winery facilities.
The ideal candidate takes pride in hands-on work, communicates well with management and team members, and understands the importance of presenting a welcoming, guest-ready property while supporting safe and efficient winery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine janitorial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, tasting rooms, production areas, offices, outdoor guest areas, and other assigned spaces.
- Maintain floors, surfaces, windows, fixtures, trash receptacles, recycling areas, and other high-use areas to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment, and work areas to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, or repair issues.
- Complete minor repairs and general upkeep, such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, addressing minor plumbing issues, painting, and basic carpentry tasks.
- Support preventative maintenance for facility systems, equipment, tools, and production-related areas to help reduce downtime and maintain safe operations.
- Coordinate with management regarding larger repairs, contractor needs, parts, supplies, and maintenance priorities.
- Prepare winery spaces for events, including setup, teardown, cleaning, restocking, and ensuring spaces meet appearance and functionality expectations.
- Follow established sanitation and safety procedures, particularly in production and guest-facing areas.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with company procedures and sustainability goals.
- Maintain janitorial supplies, tools, and equipment in clean, organized, and working conditions.
- Assist with opening, closing, and securing facilities or restricted areas when required.
- Communicate clearly with managers, event staff, production staff, and other team members to support smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, facility maintenance, handyman, or related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning practices, sanitation standards, minor repairs, and safe use of tools and cleaning products.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a busy hospitality and production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, safe, and well-presented spaces.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach to work.
- Ability to communicate maintenance needs, supply shortages, safety concerns, and completed work clearly to management.
- Comfortable working around guests, staff, vendors, and winery production activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred, if duties require driving company vehicles or running work-related errands.
Other Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and perform hands-on tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull supplies, tools, trash, event materials, and equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in variable weather and winery operating conditions.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment when required.
Schedule will vary based on winery operations, events, production needs, weekends, holidays, and seasonal business demands. Specific hours and availability requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
