Job Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day accounting transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This role manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, reporting, and other bookkeeping functions while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timely completion of all financial tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting
- Monitor cash flow and track outstanding invoices and payments
- Maintain vendor files, customer records, and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Coordinate with management regarding budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Support audits and provide requested financial documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information
- Assist with administrative and office support duties as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required
- Manufacturing or job shop experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience with ERP/accounting Epicor software and Microsoft Office, preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Schedule
- Part-Time Position
- Approximately 30 hours per week
