A candidate with experience in primary care and/or medical office clinical experience is required.

Duties:
- Welcoming patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Optimizing patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person, telephone or via the patient portal.
- Keeping patient appointments on schedule by registering and checking in patients in a timely and efficient fashion; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; notifying clinical staff of service delays.
- Maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtaining revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Verifying patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Preparing patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
- Assisting health care providers with clinical procedures, administering medications/injections, and performing basic laboratory tests, pulmonary function tests, and EKG testing.
- Securing patient information and maintaining patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Counseling patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions.
- Ability to triage patients effectively via telephone or patient portal.
- Knowledgeable of medications and usage as well a prior authorization protocols.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
