The primary function of this position is to provide enrolled clients with a range of nursing services including assessments, care collaboration, health teaching, injections and laboratory draws as ordered by Behavioral Health Medical Professionals.
POSITION DUTIES
- Provides care for, and the safety of consumers.
- The position requires a high level of flexibility in serving high needs seriously mentally ill (SMI) clients in both office and community settings
- Collaboratively work with the designated BHMP and care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions designed to improve the overall functioning of enrolled clients, as evidenced by observation, supervision, and record review.
- Draw labs and administer injections as ordered by the Behavioral Health Medical Practitioner(s) as evidenced by lab requisitions, activity logs, and record review.
- Receive and document BHMP verbal medication orders, as evidenced by observation and record review.
- Dispensing of medication samples as directed by BHMP as evidenced by record review and entries in logbook.
- Participate in maintenance of inventory of sample and indigent medications at assigned site as evidenced by direct observation, running inventory of sample and indigent medications.
- Notify and educate client of lab results as directed by BHMP as evidenced by observation and record review.
- Assess clients' potential side effects and medication benefits and complete Adverse Involuntary Movement Scale tools as indicated as evidenced by observation and record review.
- Work collaboratively with other ACT team members to support and coordinate service delivery to high-needs members, as evidenced by observation, supervision, and record review.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders as evidenced by direct observation.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Processes in the Clinic.
- The employee must work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. The employee shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors as evidenced by direct observation and personal interviews.
- Able to effectively de-escalate clients using techniques as trained and outlined in approved crisis intervention models.
- This position will be expected to maintain an acceptable level of productivity as measured by billable hours/service value.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Participates in the Performance Improvement Processes within the department.
- Work well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.

- This position is 100% onsite/TGC campus, in the state of Arizona.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse in Arizona or a state within the state Nursing Compact licensure agreement as determined by the Arizona Board of Nursing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid AZ driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.
- At least one year of working in an acute care setting or two years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting.
