Position Overview: The Charles River Boat Company is currently seeking passionate hospitality professionals to work as Crew Members / Bartenders on our public and private cruises. This is the ideal customer service position for an outgoing individual who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Great opportunity for students in the Boston area looking for full-time or part-time work!
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with greeting guests and creating a seamless guest experience
- Bartend public and private cruises
- Meet and exceed all guest requests and expectations with professional attitude
- Set-up and breakdown of bar and tables for all private events
- Ensure customer satisfaction and safety at all times
- Follow safety procedures in order to ensure protection of passengers and vessel
- Maintain the cleanliness of bar and vessels
- Maintain a level of respect and professionalism with fellow crew members, clients, and company managers
- Deliver high-end customer service and uphold impeccable professional standards within a luxury environment
Job Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing required for all marine personnel, as required by the US Coast Guard
- Minimum part-time availability required April through October (flexible start/end dates)
- Required availability to be able to work nights, weekends, and in-season holidays
- Exert physical effort in lifting at least 50 pounds, including moving tables and chairs
- Outgoing, friendly, and energetic personality
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Must enjoy spending time outside on the water
- Willing to adhere to uniform and professional appearance standards
- Bartending knowledge (preferred, but not required)
- Comfortability public speaking (preferred, but not required)
- Customer service experience (preferred, but not required)
