We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Cybersecurity & Network Administrator I to join our team. This full‑time position offers a competitive salary of $90,000 per year and the opportunity to grow your skills in both cybersecurity and network administration within a supportive, technology‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain endpoint antivirus/malware protection, content filtering, data loss prevention, MFA systems, device profiling, firewall rules, network ACLs, server configuration monitoring, and logging/event correlation systems.
- Assist with network infrastructure, network security, and routine network maintenance.
- Install and maintain network and security operating systems; ensure secure off‑site backups and maintain system documentation.
- Develop vulnerability remediation documentation and assist in remediating vulnerabilities across cloud and physical server/network systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and equipment including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and UPS units.
- Build skills to manage security solutions such as Cisco ASA Firewalls, Meraki Security Appliances, VPN (Remote Access & Site‑to‑Site), and Cisco ISE (TACACS+ & RADIUS).
- Develop attack and penetration testing techniques to reduce the organization’s threat landscape.
- Provide cybersecurity and network support for operational systems; assist with planning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Gain expertise with packet analyzers, next‑generation antivirus, EDR tools, cyber threat intelligence, and threat‑hunting platforms.
- Support routine or emergency network/security changes during business hours or occasionally after hours, weekends, or holidays; may require travel to designated sites.
- Provide first‑level technical support to users regarding network and security system operations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills
- Fundamental understanding of networking and security concepts.
- Knowledge of the OSI model, well‑known/reserved ports, and cabling specifications.
- Understanding of encryption methods used to secure traffic over untrusted networks.
- Strong hands‑on troubleshooting skills across physical, virtual, and logical environments.
- Ability to diagnose cabling and connectivity issues.
- Ability to run, terminate, and cross‑connect copper and fiber cabling.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
