Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Reports to: Facilities Manager
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems across the facility to ensure uninterrupted operations. This position requires troubleshooting skills and a strong mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform corrective maintenance.
- Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility systems.
- Ensure equipment operates at optimal performance through preventive care.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and follow standard operating procedures.
- Maintain safety compliance in all repair and maintenance activities.
- Provide support during equipment installation or upgrades.
- Basic Electrical Repairs on Lights & Ballast.
- Repair or Replace heating controls and elements.
- Wire machines and check proper rotation when moving to different location, replace fuses, actuators, relays and contractors. Diagnose electrical problems using meters and volt testers.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams.
- Repair, Fabricate parts for machines using drill-taps milling machine, Lathe, welders and Band saws
- Troubleshoot machines and facility breakdowns, plumbing, carpentry, material handling equipment, compressors, hoist.
- Knowledge of Bliss, Perkins Presses, Vacuum Formers, Thermotron RF welders, Webtron Print presses, Slitters, Plastic Extrusion Machines, Box making machines, Punch Presses, Guillotines, Die cutters, and other machines used in Carding and Box Industry.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
- Proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and OSHA standards.
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
