Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work closely with individuals who have behavioral challenges and provide support in implementing behavior intervention plans. Your role will involve assisting with data collection, implementing therapeutic strategies, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with behavioral challenges
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach
- Conduct assessments and assist in the development of behavior support plans
- Monitor and document client progress towards treatment goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and implement treatment plans accurately
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with behavioral challenges
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Proficient in data collection methods and techniques
