Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including long-term care and memory care facilities. The LPN /RN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive appropriate medical attention and support. Shift differentials. Rate depending on experience.
Duties
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Conduct physical examinations and monitor patient vital signs to assess health status.
- Assist in the management of patient care plans, including those related to critical care and long-term care needs.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as PCC.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN/RN license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to patient care.
- Experience in nurse management is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with IV infusion techniques is essential.
- Previous experience in long-term care or memory care settings is advantageous.
- Ability to perform critical care assessments and interventions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
