Kinder Haus Child Care Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team.
At Kinder Haus, we believe the toddler years are filled with incredible opportunities for growth and discovery. We are looking for a teacher who enjoys creating meaningful learning experiences, building strong relationships with families, and collaborating with a team dedicated to providing the highest quality early childhood education.
Duties
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support toddlers' cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development.
- Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where children feel secure and valued.
- Supervise children at all times while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Complete daily observations and documentation of children's learning and development.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets licensing and health and safety standards.
- Mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers to ensure a positive, team-oriented classroom environment.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and Kinder Haus policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Child Development Associate (CDA), West Virginia Training Certificate in Early Care and Education (WVTCECE), associate's degree, bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or the ability to obtain required credentials.
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for helping young children learn through play and exploration.
- Ability to meet state background check and health requirements.
