Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure high-quality results that meet client specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work to create a smooth finish.
- Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following proper procedures for working with scaffolding, ladders, welding equipment, and other tools.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring quality control throughout each phase of the job.
Skills
- Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting techniques.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and reading blueprints or schematics.
- Skilled in surface preparation including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work.
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Ability to operate hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including sanders and drills; and industrial equipment like airless sprayers.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and maintenance practices.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project planning.
- Experience with carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), concrete finishing, welding, masonry work, remodeling projects, fixture installation, and restoration tasks.
