Position Summary:
This person is responsible for the planning, executing, and finalizing purchasing strategies for the organization. This includes acquiring resources within the current budget and facilitating communication between the company and vendors to deliver products and services for a timely delivery. Also, will monitor and analyze trends in the organization’s spending and inventory to identify possible cost savings.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Follow up with vendors on open purchase orders
2. Work with Accounts Payable to resolve any pricing variances
3. Organize and prioritize daily purchasing duties
4. Expedite orders based on customers needs
5. Create purchase orders as needed.
6. Maintain and develop relationships with vendors
7. Request for quoting
8. Oversee all aspects of the Purchasing Department
9. Monitor/issue carton claims
10. Find a resolution for all purchase order discrepancies and vendor disputes
11. Maintain department work instructions
Supervisor Responsibilities:
Supervise all day to day operations of the Purchasing Department.

- 5 + years experience overseeing the Purchasing Department
