Job Summary
LeisureHound Athletic Club is an off-leash dog park and biergarten located in downtown Columbia designed to bring together dog lovers, craft beverage enthusiasts, and the local community.
We’re looking for energetic, dependable, and customer-facing staff members to help create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our gates. This role goes beyond basic bar services, you’ll be an ambassador for our company, building relationships with members of the community, and helping create a fun, safe atmosphere for both people and dogs.
We're looking for both part time and full time people to add to our team.
Responsibilities
- Serve a rotated selection of craft and domestic beers, wines, ciders and other non-alcoholic beverages.
- Welcome guests and members with friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Make beverage recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Operate a POS system and accurately process transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and park environment.
- Follow all responsible alcohol service, sanitation, and safety standards and laws.
Requirements
- Is 21+ years old with previous bartending, brewery, taproom or hospitality experience (preferred but not required).
- Can provide or willing to obtain the SCDOR alcohol training certification
- Loves dogs of all sizes and breeds, and the appreciation for a dog-friendly environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and also being part of a team.
- Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Is available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
