As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, managing transactions, and promoting products effectively.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash transactions and processing payments efficiently.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products that meet customer needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support during shifts.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and experience operating cash registers.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally.
- Experience in retail sales, particularly within a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform product demos confidently, showcasing product features effectively.
- Skills in upselling products to enhance sales opportunities while meeting customer needs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining store standards.
