Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Building Assembler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and securing metal building components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful erection of durable, high-quality metal structures that meet safety standards and client specifications. Duties
- Erect and assemble metal building frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and schematics to ensure accurate alignment and secure fastening.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements effectively.
- Install metal studs, framing, siding, roofing, and trim carpentry components with attention to detail.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large steel components or materials, when properly trained.
- Assist with site preparation, including layout marking and ensuring proper safety procedures are followed during assembly.
- Support other construction activities as needed.
- Travel is required, most often with daily per diems. Out of town projects can last up to 11 days out and then 3 days off. Food allowance and hotels are company paid.
- Must have a valid drivers license with record that will be acceptable to company insurance carrier.
- Prior experience is preferred but we offer on-the-job training, as well.
- Must be able to pass OSHA and other applicable training requirements.
Experience
- On the job training may be substituted for the items listed below:
- Experience in metal building erection or related construction roles involving steel framing and structural assembly is a desirable but we offfer on-site training.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction management principles.
- Prior work on construction sites with exposure to framing carpentry, roofing, siding, drywall installation or remodeling projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites coupled with excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues across trades such as masonry or carpentry. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
