We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and floor care products.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and vacuums efficiently and safely.
- Restock supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability for staff and visitors.
- Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures to uphold safety standards at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, ensuring manual handling is performed safely according to established guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Strong understanding of floor cleaning methods including floor care maintenance for various surfaces.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols outlined in SDS documentation.
- Excellent manual handling skills with the capability for heavy lifting and physical endurance required for cleaning tasks.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work discreetly in hospitality environments such as hotels or similar settings.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures is a plus.
- Effective communication skills paired with attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are maintained consistently.
