We’re looking for a superstar CNC Programmer/Machinist — someone who lives for precision, problem-solving, and building world-class parts that perform in the real world. You’ll program, set up, and run sliding head lathes to create components for our high-end ARCHERY and FIREARMS brands.

What You’ll Do
- Program and run CNC swiss lathes (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Autodesk Partmaker)
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and offsets; prove out new jobs from start to finish
- Optimize cycle times, surface finishes, and tool life
- Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances across multiple materials
- Collaborate with engineering to improve process efficiency and part design
- Maintain machines and tooling, and mentor others on best practices
What You Bring
- 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience (conventional, swiss lathes)
- Strong G-code knowledge and CAM proficiency (ESPIRIT, Partmaker, Fusion 360,)
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless, and titanium

Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs lathes using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software such as Partmaker or Fusion, ensuring efficient tool paths and minimal waste.
- Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications, and technical drawings to accurately produce parts.
- Set up CNC machines, including installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters before production runs.
- Operate CNC milling machines and lathes with precision, utilizing tools such as calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct troubleshooting of machining issues, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or Fusion for designing or modifying parts as needed for manufacturing.
- Ensure all machining activities adhere to safety standards and company policies while maintaining high levels of quality control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming and operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls or similar CNC controller systems.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software including Mastercam, SolidWorks, or Fusion for part design and programming.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T principles, and geometric measurements.
- Mechanical knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining operations.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to interpret schematics and electrical/discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Strong math skills related to geometry, measurements, and tolerances essential for high-precision machining.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to improve workflow efficiency.
