KDR Wood Design is a growing, family-owned custom millwork and cabinetry company committed to quality craftsmanship and precision. We are looking for an experienced Custom Cabinet Engineer to join our team and help transform architectural concepts into detailed, production-ready shop drawings and CNC post-processor set-up.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in both residential and commercial millwork who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with project teams, and creating accurate engineering drawings that drive successful projects from design through production.
What You'll Do
· Create detailed shop drawings and production drawings for custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.
· Engineer residential and commercial casework and millwork projects for manufacturing.
· Review architectural drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
· Work closely with project managers, production staff, and customers to resolve design and construction details.
· Prepare CNC-ready files and optimize projects for efficient manufacturing.
· Maintain drawing revisions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
· Ensure all drawings meet quality standards, customer expectations, and manufacturing requirements.
What We're Looking For
· Minimum 5 years of experience engineering custom residential and commercial millwork and casework.
· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
· Experience creating detailed shop drawings and production documentation.
· Excellent understanding of cabinetry construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following software is highly preferred:
· Mozaik
· Vectric Aspire
· AutoCAD
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Top pay is available for highly qualified candidates with proven cabinet finishing expertise.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
